Nobel prize nominees and winners at Røyse School

The winners of our Nobel Prize award are the bus buddies, The school patrol and bussdriver Per Sparstad  - al of them doing a valuable contribution to our environment at school and beyond.

First - what does a school patrol or a bus buddy do? Have e look at the video to find out:

Then we have bussdriver Per. A great guy that takes care of everyone who takes the bus. Our local newpaper came to cover when he was awarded buy our Peace Prize Jury.

What has the jury to say about Per - "You are gentle and kind, and show that you care about us by asking how er are. Here is an owl to symbolize that you are a smart guy. This medal is a token that you are a worthy prize winner!

What does Per have to say? "I really apreciate this! I have been driving the kids to school for about  seven years, and I know most of them by name. They are a great bunch, who can handle my orders if there is some trouble - which is rare."

4. I should behave to others by the same way how I would wish the others behave to me.
5. I will say hello to everyone at school.
6. I will forgive.
7. I won’t ruin my classmates’ things and will take care of classroom and school property.
8. I will be honest and say the truth.
9. I will say stop if someone bothers or bullies another person and I will tell the teachers.
10. I will listen to the teacher and my classmates when they are talking and I will wait until it’s my turn.

Hello everyone! Here is a video about Kubíček, a boy who is supported financially by Kunštát primary. In the video you can learn about why we chose Kubíček to help and what we have already done to help him. 

The students council at Røyse Schools criteria for selecting peace price winner.

We, the student council, asked every student at Røyse School how they think a hero should behave. 1. Be nice, helpful and honest. 2. Work for our school community. 3. Show respect and consideration. 4. Contribute to stop conflicts.
